Foster Schucker is a Chief Roboteer at STEM Robotics. and has been doing competition robotics since 2005.
He is the co-winner of the 2010 VEX World Mentor of the Year Award along with Steve Rhoads. He is the winner of the VEX Forum award at the 2023 Sugar Rush Signature Event.
Foster is the founding mentor of the Downingtown Area VEX Robotics team (now called The VEXMen ). He is a former mentor of FRC team 1640 and the World Championship Excellence VEX University team KTOR (Knights of the Old Robotic).
Foster moved to Delaware in 2015 and has been working on growing the number of teams and events in Delmarva. He started the VRC program in the Brandywine School District. In 2020 he helped form Brandywine Robotics to allow roboteers better support for their robots. In 2023 he started Brandywines VEX IQ program.
His goal was to have 200 robot teams by the 2020 season. Covid hit and dropped that number to under 50. But across the last few years the number has grown and should break 200 in 2025.
Foster along with the other members of STEM Robotics run a number of events in Delmarva. In 2024 they ran their largest event at the Delmarva VEXIQ Extravaganza with over 60 robots.
Foster works out of his robotics lab in North Wilmington Delaware.
